Nursing Services

Dietary Services

 The food and nutritional needs of residents are met in accordance with physician's orders and reasonable adjustment to the food likes, dislikes, allergies, customs, physical condition, and appetite of each individual.  Therapeutic diets and supplemental feedings are prepared and served as prescribed under the supervision of a qualified dietitian.  Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Dinner from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Supper 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Physical Therapy

 Physical Therapy is available at Knapp Haven.  A physical therapist is available on a weekly basis and reviews all physicians' orders for therapy.  This service aims at restoringfunction and maintaining maximum performance.

Occupational Therapy

 Occupational Therapy is available at Knapp Haven through contracted services.  This service guides the resident in his/her use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activites for improving functions.

Social Services 

Knapp Haven provides the services of a social worker who is available to all residents and concerned familes and friends.  The Social Worker will assist with the admission process to the facility.  Assistance will also be provided for determining possible needs, resolving problems that may arrise and adjusting to the facility.

Chaplaincy Services

Knapp Haven believes in serving the whole person, this includes offering a chaplain. Rev. Ralph Marquardt, a retired ELCA Lutheran Pastor provides for the spiritual needs of our residents. His duties include holding Bible Studies, Memorial Services, Church Services and ministering to the residents.
